Oh,

Jen wood has been playing in baby panda as of recently. she's playing guitar and singing along with paul and I. She also plays the keyboards in some songs because I wanted to give up my parts.

We have a super awesome show coming up that i'm excited for.

It's the Jeremy Enigk Album release show at Nuemos may 14th.

I'm ecstatic about this show because sunny day real estate has been one of my favorite bands for a long time.

I finished recording a whole new album with paul at baby panda's studio. I'm still pushing baby panda vinyl. if you would like a copy of the record please go to http://www.unspeakablerecords.org/
you can also order a cd or download. the vinyl version comes with a bonus cd with demos from baby panda stuff and also jim yoshi pile-up stuff. outtakes as well.

I'm going to be flying to san francisco in mid july to record with my friend drew at http://www.decibellerecording.com/

I think paul will be flying along with me and we'll be doing some new songs together. focused heavily on electronics and synth.

things are really looking up!

my boss completely fucked my tax information, filed the wrong ssn with the irs. For the past 3 years working at my work my taxes, medicare and social security as been applied for someone else. I didnt have to file last year because i was on tour most the year.

this year, i was going to file because i'm going to school this fall and decided to. when i found out i had the wrong ssn on file, i freaked out. I owe 2300, if i do not pay it before april 15th,they will charge me an oh so nice amount of tax of 40% interest of the balance PER DAY.

this could ultimately be the end of my life as i know it. unless i get the money and pay them. fortunately i have most all of it.

unfortunately i have quit my job very randomly, and i'm selling tons of my personal collection of records on ebay in hopes to not owe for the rest of my life.

the job quitting wasnt quite random. i've hated my job for quite some time now. and especially since all my friends have already since left long ago and gotten much nicer, happier jobs. I quit. i was tired of it. and i didnt care about doing it anymore. i tried to give 2 weeks notice but the manager wouldnt come in to work, and wouldnt answer my calls/texts that said: "will you call me back i need to talk to you about something very important".

after no response from him, i was done. though, i figured i would talk to the owner and tell him why i couldnt handle it anymore and i was walking out. (he normally gives money to people that do that) i walked in the office and said: "can i talk to you real fast, its very important"

he says: "sorry can it wait, i'm doing something important?"

"well i meant it when i said important, it can't really wait. so thank you"

he was just sitting around on the computer, he could have listened to me for one second.

good things:

i've been intense sending resumes to jobs on craigslist. I am not sending them to more shitty warehouse jobs that were exactly like my old job. all jobs that are nothing like i've ever been doing.

i'm mostly focusing on dog hotels/kennels.

i had a call back and a phone interview. and my next interview is wednesday morning. apparently i need to play with the dogs for an hour. and if i dont like it then its not going to work out.

Baby panda is going thru some major changes. i think i mentioned how everyone in the band was kicked out but me. but i just booked a few shows for us, and called paul to verify them.

he was like, oh shit i guess i'll tell shana and josiah that they wont be playing with us. he's pretty passive so i'm guessing he's just been putting it off until it becomes apparent that he will need to tell them.

i'm sick of typing about myself. i'm going to type item descriptions.

if you have any heart or any money please go to visit my ebay stuff and bid on some stuff.

you could spend your tax return and put that money back into paying back the IRS.

http://www.auctiva.com/stores/viewstore2.aspx?id=766965&styleid=12&siteid=0

I've been happy, been keeping better relationships.

My personal record store should be opening in the next few weeks here on 4th ave in seattle. I will send out invites as soon as I get them made.

Oh life you are crazy right now. But so good.

So, I'm not very good with flirting with complete strangers off the street or in public. If a beautiful girl were to ever smile at me I would put my head down and look away.
I'm shy.
I've been talking with a friend about it for a while now. I've been kind of bummed because I don't want to hurt peoples feelings. Its not that I don't appreciate the gesture or like it, I'm just shy.

So today was my first time trying something new.

Said girl smiles at me, I half smile and do my look down/away thing like normal. I see her again and she smiles again. This time I look at her right in the eyes as I walk past and smile. She blushes real bright red.

Its a good sign I know. But the feeling of getting over my fear was so great I just ran away and met maggie down the street and bragged like a little boy about this girl and how I was so happy I didn't turn away and potentially hurt her feelings.

Her and alex ask, "cool, did you ask for her number?"
"No, was I supposed to?"
"Well if she were to blush that's a damn good sign you should"

I think I will be good enough with getting over my fears of people in small stages.
And next time I see this girl I will have to like slap her ass or something. Not really, you know I kid.

I saw defiance ohio tonite. It was real good. My back really fucking hurts today. No good

I got 300 records for 50 bucks. Included in the stack was all original pressings of run dmc, public enemy, bob marley, peter tosh, the specials, black flag.

I bought myself a ton of new furniture from ikea. And a new overhead light.

I didn't go to portland. I didn't go to the vera tonight. I didn't do anything I had planned. And it still was a pretty good weekend.

I'm really into the idea of inviting people to my space soon and listening to music for days on end. With couches and chairs and art supplies. Creating, indulging. Its a long hard process to mold this space into what I have planned in my head. But its getting there kind of quickly and I can see a light at the end of the tunnel.

I hung out with bill and mary today and went to costco. Though I live across the street from it it is still an adventure. I bought a lot of bottled water and a huge case of pain reliever so my back doesn't feel as sore anymore.

I have ideas of running away still. But I refuse to act on them because I need to work out some personal stuff first.

Friends. Out of town friends. Come visit me!
